After the events of the first movie, Yagami Light faces two new adversaries as he is trying to create a perfect world without crime or criminals. This movie continues the first TV special and is a summary of the last 12 episodes of the TV anime.

In the story, the seasons have changed and it will soon be the second spring. Tatsuya and Miyuki have finished their first year at First Magic High School and are on their spring break. The two go to their villa on the Ogasawara Island archipelago. After only a small moment of peace a lone young woman named Kokoa appears before them. She has abandoned the Naval base and she tells Tatsuya her one wish.

Pursued by formidable Chinese assassins, young Kotaro and his dog run into No Name, a mysterious stranger who gets pulled into the chase. The unlikely companions form a bond over saving the dog from a poison attack, but chaos erupts when the assassins find Kotaro, and No Name must face his past before a horrible fate is met again.

In the year 2050 the world population is crazy about the "Metal Fight", a competition where people compete in battles featuring giant robots. An organization called Iron Mask is planning on transforming Metal Fight competitors and their robots into weapons, and tries to kidnap Shoko Saeba, a robot programmer who created the Red Baron, which uses a feedback system. Ken Kurenai is able to protect Sally and the Red Baron, and becomes Metal Fight World Champion in the process. Iron Mask then decides to send out their forces to take Ken and the Red Baron out forever.

Inukami are benevolent, dog-like beasts with great spiritual powers that can also take human form. Together with a clan of "Inukami Users," they fight to vanquish evil. One such clan member, Keita Kawahira, is seen as a total loser. He doesn't take his job seriously, flirts with every woman he sees, and can't find a single Inukami willing to form a contract with him. Then, one day, he meets the Inukami "Yoko." All you gotta know is this: zombies, frilly dresses, demons, and moe chainsaws. Pink. It’s the new dead.
